Why do men buy wrong gifts?

January 28th, 2012

Research shows men have trouble picking Christmas gifts for their loved ones. It’s beyond belief that woman are bought irons, hoovers and food mixers as gifts every December. What on earth makes men believe that electrical items are suitable gifts for the woman they are supposed to cherish and adore? These are the partners you are supposed to know better than anyone else. Yet, the white goods are rolled out year-on-year and they do not make good gifts. Men, they spell out unthinking and unimaginative presents. Underwear is a great gift for your lover but make sure you do your research. Nighties and silk teddies prove a hit with most but make sure you get the sizes right. A national survey has shown that half of the 24 million pairs of knickers given over the festive period will never be worn. Twelve million pairs will be relegated to the back of a well stocked drawer, the reason? Men don’t do their research. Many women claim they are bought the wrong size, colour and even style. What is worse, many men rush out on Christmas Eve and buy on impulse and in a panic. Among the must have lingerie items this year is the princesse tam tam set and the Mimi Holliday design. So, if you want to put a smile on your other half’s face and bag a kiss under the mistletoe do your research this year and most importantly get the correct size. However, don’t ask her – you may not get an honest answer from your protective lady friend!
